The New York Dance Band was formed in the early eighties and has been managed by Karen Johnson since 1987.

Originally playing in working men's clubs, we gained our first venue, a 21st birthday party in Hull. From these humble beginnings we have grown into a successful band, much in demand and playing for all occasions (weddings, dinner dances, fetes, garden parties etc.)

We are based in the York area in England. We have yet to play abroad as a group, but do travel (expenses permitting) within the country. Since we all play in the band as a hobby and not as a full time occupation our prices are very competitive.
